4/4/05

Yeah, I know it's the 5th as I'm typing this, but this post is about yesterday, since I'm heading to bed and thought I should post something.

I played some more HoI2 again. I tried the Barbarossa scenario game and got pretty far before I decided to quit for the night. The winter just set in after I took Moscow, so I'm thinking it's going to be tough to reach my final objectives for the "strategic victory" by Dec 30 1941 (it's mid October right now).

I went to a RA development program yesterday evening, it was pretty pointless, but it's always at least marginally fun to hang out with my fellow RAs. RAs generally are good people, and it's one of the few things I'll miss about the job next year. I've made a lot of friends working as an RA, and I believe I've become a much more friendly and outgoing person during the two years I've worked for Housing. But it's time for a change, now that I'm getting really sick of all the pointless and mundane stuff I've had to do this year.

To those of you who I haven't told yet, I'm getting an apartment with two of my best friends next semester. My roommates will be Ryan Lynch and Drew Welsch, Ryan is a former resident of mine who is currently an RA in the dorm nextdoor to Brockert (where I work), and Drew is a current resident. We've determined through rigorous scientific testing (confirmed by a third party research firm) that our apartment is going to rock like no other. Church.

I just discovered a band that I'd heard of before but never listened to at all: The Clash. Now I know why they're considered one of the better bands of the 70s.

So overall, I'm pretty pumped right now. I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow to give plasma in Dubuque ($50 a week baby!) so I shall quit typing. Catch you on the flip side...
